This piece is one of a four-part series and is inspired by the cityscapes of the two cities I’ve called home - Milwaukee and Chicago, hence the title “Towers.” These four works are the only pieces that are titled with a real word (usually my titles are made-up words - see my artist statement on my “about” page for more about this!). This piece and its three sisters are also the smallest pieces I’ve created to date.
Suggested locations for hanging: office/workspace, nursery, bathroom, kitchen (safe distance from stove to protect from oil splatters)

CUSTOMIZATION
I am always open and excited to create an original piece customized to your interests! If you would like a painting similar to this one, please visit my commissions page to complete a commission inquiry form, or contact me at info@laurenzens.com to inquire about commissions.
By email or the inquiry form, you can tell me your desired budget, theme, mood, aesthetic, colors, size, or anything else you're thinking. Or if you're not sure, feel free to tell me about: where you'll hang your custom piece, how the art should make you feel, the kind of art you like, and/or what inspires you.
I know that buying "fine art" feels intimidating for some, but I think of commissions as a collaboration between me and you, so let's start the conversation!
Alternatively, if you are interested in my work, but looking for a less expensive option at this time, I sell prints! Please visit the prints section of my online shop.
QUALITY & PRESERVATION
This piece uses archival professional grade primer and acrylic paints as well as three coats of an archival professional grade matte varnish for longevity and protection from UV and environmental pollutants.
If desired, a cloth or paper towel lightly dampened with water can remove any dust, dirt, or pet hair accumulated on the piece without damaging the underlying work.
Please note: Sun exposure can cause a barely perceptible color change to the paints over time, and color fading or yellowing is possible if hung in full direct sunlight for many years. In cases of high humidity (60%+), warping, cracking, or rippling of the paint or surface is possible over many years - please note this if you are interested in hanging this work in a bathroom or finished attic or basement. Generally, though, the water-based paints and varnishes I use are very durable and can withstand UV light and environmental impact over very long periods (100+ years). I am not responsible for any damage or destruction that occurs to the piece over time.
Thank you for visiting my shop and considering an original piece! I am always available at info@laurenzens.com, please don't hesitate to reach out with any questions, comments, or concerns.
